Beach-goers, rejoice.

Starting Friday, Nov. 1, the Puntarenas-Paquera ferry is back on schedule after a month of reduced service, reported the Transportation and Public Works Ministry on Thursday. The Tambor II ferry was out for preventative maintenance.

The popular ferry can shave hours off the drive from San José to some of Costa Rica’s most famous beaches on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, including Montezuma and Malpaís.
