45 companies hiring at job fair this week

Universidad Latina in Costa Rica is holding a job fair Feb. 2-3, where recruiters from 45 companies will look to fill 1,500 vacancies.

On Tuesday the job fair will take place at the university’s campus in Heredia, while on Wednesday recruiters will be at the San Pedro campus, east of San José. The fair will run from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. both days and admission is free.

Companies are looking for professionals in business administration, accounting, finances, public relations, marketing, audio-visual production, journalism, information technology, industrial engineering, tourism, graphic design, international commerce, psychology, human resources and advertising.

The university’s employment office coordinator, María Fernanda Cordero, said the fair is not just an event for companies to “collect résumés for their databases.” She said most positions are open for immediate hiring.

Among the companies that will be looking for new employees are McKinsey, Hotel Reserva Conchal, Sykes, Repretel, Multivex Empleos.net, Experian, Convergys, MBC Developers, Teleperformance, Lets go Internship, Procter & Gamble, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Henkel, Nestlé, Cinde Talent Place, VMware, Productos de Concreto, Young 360, Corporación Strena, Can Capital, Grupo Bimbo, Intercultura, Cayuga Corporate, Digital Graffiti, Andaz Hotel, DHL, QSR, Pepsico, Coca Cola, DHL and others.

Interested job-seekers must bring printed and digital résumés. A pre-registration form is available online at the university’s website.
