Two job fairs in coming days will offer opportunities for various types of professionals and bilingual speakers.
The Alajuela Municipality on Thursday will host a job fair where employeers are looking to fill 1,800 vacancies at La Guácima racetrack, northwest of San José.
Twenty companies will be looking to hire staff in areas such as administration, accounting, engineering, English instruction and medical equipment manufacturing, among others.
The fair will run 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free. Posts are available to all prospective employees, but companies will prioritize residents of Alajuela and surrounding areas.
Universidad Latina next week also will host a job fair at its campus in Heredia, on June 3 and at its San José campus on June 4. Schedules on both days will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The fair will bring together recruiters from 26 companies seeking marketing business administrators, human resource managers, financial analysts, computer engineers, industrial engineers, programmers and many customer service and administrative posts.
Companies mostly will be seeking bilingual hires. Participants include Amazon, Citi, Phillip Morris International, Bridgestone, IBM, Multivex, Empleo.net, Akamai, Unilever, HP, Wyndham Herradura, MC Kinsey, Cinde, Deloitte and Kimberly Clark.
Recruiters at both fairs are asking for resumes preferably in digital format, however some of them also will take print resumes.
