The Pan-American School is celebrating its recent earning of two international accreditations, according to a statement from the school.
Representatives from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, in the United States, and the Council of International Schools (CIS), in England, have visited the school, located between Santa Ana and San Antonio de Belén, west of San José, and awarded it the double accreditation.
The school of 630 preschool to high school students from approximately 20 countries had been preparing for the visits for about two years, the statement said.
The CIS in a letter applauded the school for its “spirit of engagement, reflection and commitment to self-improvement in continually striving to meet the objective … of preparing civic-minded global leaders.”
