Juanes Plays Saprissa Stadium Tomorrow

DUBBED one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine, Latin pop rock king Juanes, who scooped up three Latin Grammy nominations and five MTV Latin American Video Music Award nominations this year, will play tomorrow at 8 p.m. in Saprissa Stadium in Tibás, north of San José, as part of his worldwide Mi Sangre tour.With nine Latin Grammys already under his belt, the Colombian rock star is up for Rock Album of the Year (“Mi Sangre”), Rock Song of the Year (“Nada Valgo sin tu Amor”) and Video of the Year (“Volverte a Ver”), to be announced Nov. 3 in Los Angeles, California.His five MTV Latin American Music Video Award nominations include Best Rock Artist and Best Musician of the Year. The awards ceremony was scheduled to take place Oct. 19 in Mexico’s Playa del Carmen; however, Hurricane Wilma forced its postponement. A new date had not been set by press time.Tickets are on sale at Mega Super stores and at the door; prices range from ¢6,500-31,500 ($13.30-64.50).
