Hotel Herradura Now Ramada Plaza Herradura

HOTEL Herradura, northwest of SanJosé, home to one of Central America’slargest conference centers, has reopened itsdoors under the name Ramada Plaza Hotel.The change in name represents a newalliance with the U.S. franchise RamadaInternational, and the hotel becomes thefirst Ramada hotel in Central America,according to the daily La República.Ramada, which owns 2,000 hotels inthe United States, has operations inGermany, Egypt, Japan, Mexico, Russiaand other nations, and has short-term plansto expand in the region, the daily reported.Herradura received an infusion offinancing and was remodeled as a part ofthe agreement, and expects that thechange will bring increased business, LaRepública reported.
