Inflation in Costa Rica registered 4.3% during the first five months of this year, representing a decrease from the 6.37% inflation registered during the same period in 2005, according to a statement from the National Statistics and Census Institute (INEC).
The products and services most affected by inflation were electricity, eggs, gasoline, oranges, water and bus fares.
Inflation in Costa Rica reached 14.07% at the end of 2005, the highest rate in the past four years.
