Punta Dominical Condo Project Gets Investment

A development near the southern Pacific town of Dominical recently sold out its first group of condominiums. The 30 condominiums pre-sold in one day June 14 for a total of $9 million.

Construction on the project, known as Marisol and owned by Punta Dominical S.A., is set to begin in August and be completed by the end of 2008. In all, the project will include 54 condominiums, a clubhouse, parking and a gym. The project will cover three hectares of land close to Playa Dominical.

The sale of the 30 condos was handled by TS Water, a Canadian marketing and real estate company that focuses on Costa Rica. Four Costa Ricans, 25 U.S. citizens and one Canadian purchased the future condos.

Marisol is one of the company’s two development projects on the Pacific coast, the other being the $16.3 million condo project VIVA Punta Leona farther north in Garabito, Puntarenas, which went out for pre-sale last month.
