Arias Visits Qatar, Singapore This Week

President Oscar Arias traveled to an international conference this week in the tiny, oil-rich nation of Qatar.

He will join representatives of about 70 countries to review the the Monterrey Consensus on increasing aid to the poor.

On Monday, Arias will fly to Singapore, where he is scheduled to meet with President Sellapan Rama Nathan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, according to a Casa Presidencial press release.

Arias and Foreign Trade Minister Marco Vinicio Ruiz will also make a presentation promoting Costa Rica to 15 Singaporean businessmen.
