Another Alleged Pimp Arrested in San José

A Colombian woman identified by thelast name of Sánchez has been arrestedfor allegedly recruiting girls for commercialsexual exploitation, said a statementfrom the Public Security Ministry.Vice-Minister of Public Security, AnaHelena Chacón, confirmed the 40-yearoldwoman has been sent to the BuenPastor women’s penitentiary, where shefaces six months of preventive detention.Officials from the Public SecurityMinistry’s Sexual Exploitation Unitarrested the suspect Feb. 18 at her homein southwest San José.Sánchez allegedly advertised her servicesin newspapers, disguising the businessas a massage parlor. Once clientscontacted her, she allegedly offered theservices of young girls for sex.According to police, Sánchez allegedlycharged $250 per sexual encounter.She allegedly recruited minors fromher home, where she would take photos ofthem to allegedly post on a Web pagecatalogue of sorts.
