U.S. Voters Abroad: Still Time Left to Vote

BOTH the U.S. Embassy in San Joséand the private mail company Aerocasillashave said they will send U.S. electionabsentee ballots to the United States forfree through Nov. 1. However, theConsulate section of the embassy remindedvoters it takes approximately one weekfor mail to arrive at its U.S. destinationfrom the embassy.Absentee ballots can be dropped off atthe Consulate Monday through Friday, 8-11:30 a.m. and Monday, 1-3 p.m. Voterswho registered on time but did not receivetheir ballots can use a Federal Write-inAbsentee Ballot, available at theConsulate.Ballots also can be dropped off atAerocasillas offices in Escazú, acrossfrom Pricesmart; Curridabat, across fromthe National Registry; Centro ComercialNovacentro; or La Uruca, 300 metersnorth of Hotel San José Palacio.
