New Costa Rican National Soccer Team jersey unveiled

The new sponsor of the Costa Rican National Team, Adidas, uncovered the new jersey that the national squads will wear.

In an elegant and moving ceremony, soccer players Gerson Torres, María Paula Coto, Katherine Alvarado, and Yeltsin Tejeda modeled the new kits.

The exclusive event, held at the National Convention Center, was attended by President Rodrigo Chaves, who was accompanied by Rodolfo Villalobos, President of the Costa Rican Soccer Federation (FCRF), Salvador Mothe, General Manager of Adidas Central America and Caribbean, and Mary Munive, Second Vice President of Costa Rica, and Minister of Sports.

Coaches and players of the different national teams were also present, along with senior representatives of Adidas, members of the Federation’s Executive Committee, and important Costa Rican soccer figures.

Rodolfo Villalobos emphasized the importance of establishing a commercial relationship with a brand recognized worldwide.

“At the FCRF, we are proud and very honored to be able to establish this commercial alliance with the leading sports brand in the world. We appreciate the trust and recognition from Adidas to dress our national teams for the next four years with garments of the highest quality that, from today, our fans will also be able to wear,” he remarked.

The new jerseys -available in red and white versions- can be purchased at the official Adidas website. In addition, starting this Wednesday, February 1, a Pop up (temporary) store will be available at Multiplaza Escazú. As of February 6, they will be available at PLS and Sportline. The prize is ₡69,990.

“We celebrate the union between the Adidas family and the Costa Rican Soccer Federation family for the next four years and hopefully many more. This alliance is no coincidence. This national team, already qualified for 6 World Cups, has achieved spectacular milestones and sensational achievements thanks to great work and professionalism. So it is an honor for Adidas to start this journey with the Costa Rican people,” commented Salvador Mothe, General Manager of Adidas Central America and the Caribbean.

The red (home jersey) is a classic design that will arouse the passion and excitement of Costa Rican fans through patriotic colors, a symbol of national identity. Meanwhile, the white one connects the Sele fans looking for distinction through the golden color of its collar and subtle vertical lines of the same tone.

“It’s Adidas! It’s Costa Rica! It’s Pura Vida!” said Adidas’ final message.
