Throwback Thursday: Flying LACSA, Costa Rica’s flagship airline

Founded in 1945, LACSA (or Lineas Aéreas Costarricenses S.A) was Costa Rica’s flagship airline.

LACSA eventually became a member airline of TACA (Transportes Aéreos Centroamericanos), which 10 years ago merged with Colombia’s Avianca.

The LACSA brand — and its catchy slogan, nos encanta la gente — is no more, though a handful of flights do operate today under the “Avianca Costa Rica” name.
