Update: Costa Rican Red Cross finds body of missing U.S. newlywed following Southern Zone floods

The Costa Rican Red Cross stated they found the body of missing U.S. newlywed Josh Byrne, 30, Saturday afternoon.

Josh went missing Thursday night near Dominical in Costa Rica’s Southern Zone after rising waters from heavy rains swept his vehicle off a bridge in the area.

WCVB News in Boston, Massachusetts reported that Josh was honeymooning in the area with his wife Bianca Byrne.

The couple married last weekend in New Hampshire, the ABC affiliate reported, and were caught up in a flash flood while crossing a bridge near Playa Dominicalito. Bianca was able to make it to safety after the car was washed away, but Josh could not.
