Employment fair in San José to feature 1,000 jobs

The University of Science and Technology  (ULACIT) on Friday will host representatives from 25 companies who will be looking for candidates to fill some 1,000 job vacancies.

The job fair will take place at university facilities in Barrio Tournón, northwest of San José, from 9 a.m.6 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Companies are looking at candidates for business managers, accountants, industrial, computer and electromechanical engineers, sales executives, receptionists, administrative technicians, experts in finances, customer service, call center operators, technical drawing, graphic design and AutoCAD artists, among others.

Firms will only take résumés in digital formats, and they will be hold screening tests and interviews on site, so they recommend attendants be prepared.

Amazon, Cemex, Manpower, WNS, Western Union, Sykes, Siemens, Pizza Hut, Boston College, Citi Bank and Librería Internacional are some of the companies that will be hiring. Labor Ministry officials will also be at the fair.
