Real Salt Lake eliminates Saprissa from Concacaf semifinals

Real Salt Lake, of the United States, moved on to the finals of the Champions League of Concacaf with a, 3-2, goal differential, in spite of losing to Saprissa, 2-1, in the second game of the seminal final on Tuesday night in Ricardo Saprissa Stadium in Tibas.

A goal by defender Jamison Olave at the 60 minute mark was vital for the U.S. squad to advance to the championship. Ticos Luis Diego Cordero scored at the 46 minute mark and Alson Solís nailed a penalty kick at the 86 minute.

Real Salt Lake had won, 2-0, in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 15. The team faces the winner of the match between Mexico’s  Monterrey and Cruz Azul that takes place Wednesday.
