Aerocasillas changes Miami address

Aerocasillas customers, take note: The subsidiary of the Miami-based shipping service Aeropost International Services has changed its Miami address in order to move into a larger facility.

The new address is 6703 NW 7th Street, Miami, Florida, 33126, plus the customer’s personal post office box number. Customers should change their shipping address for any online shopping accounts they have that might have used Aerocasillas’ old address.

Manuel Gamboa, marketing manager for Aerocasillas, said the new location is five times larger than the company’s former warehouse.

Gamboa also said Aerocasillas locations in Costa Rica, of which there are now 18, are expecting to handle more than 250,000 packages this year over the Black Friday weekend and ensuing holiday shopping season.

Aerocasillas is hiring 140 new employees for Black Friday this year and will be offering extended hours as well as discounted rates on commissions when orders for online shopping are placed at an Aerocasillas location, Gamboa said.

Normally, Aerocasillas charges a 4 percent commission on cash orders placed at one of its locations and an 8 percent commission on orders placed using an Aerocasillas company credit card. On Black Friday this year, the company will charge no commission on cash orders and a 4 percent commission on company credit card orders.

Aerocasillas locations will be open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on Black Friday to accommodate the extra traffic. Gamboa said all locations in Costa Rica will also serve refreshments and snacks on Black Friday as well as offering raffles for various prizes.
