U.S. serial killer ‘Wild Bill’ linked to 2007 murder in Puerto Viejo

William Dathan Holbert, also known as “Wild Bill,” the U.S. man who admitted to murdering five people in Panama is accused of killing a United States citizen in Puerto Viejo, on the southern Caribbean coast, in 2007, reported Telenoticias Channel 7.

“Wild Bill” was caught in July of 2010 at the Nicaraguan border with his wife, Laura Michelle Reese. The couple had fled Bocas del Toro, Panama where they were accused of murdering five people.

Telenoticias reported the Prosecutor General of the Chiriquí Province in Panama sent a letter through the Costa Rican Public Prosecutor’s Office implicating Holbert in the murder of Jeffrey A. Klein, a U.S. business owner, in Puerto Viejo in 2007.

Holbert confessed to Panamanian authorities in 2010 to murdering his victims in order to steal their properties.
