U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene Visits Costa Rica for Holiday Break

U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, has chosen Costa Rica for her Christmas vacation this year. She arrived with her fiancé, Brian Glenn, a White House reporter, and later joined her children and their partners for time on the Pacific coast. Greene shared details of her trip on Instagram, posting photos and videos from beaches where she tried paddleboarding. In one video, she walks toward the ocean with a board, ready to ride the waves during sunset.

She described the moment as part of her effort to focus on personal well-being. “I’m completely enjoying diving back into the ocean of life, prioritizing myself, my family, my health, and happiness,” Greene wrote in a caption. “Life is too precious and short to live in a toxic world of hate and division. Our lives are what we create, so create something beautiful. It’s never too late.”

The couple spent Christmas Day walking hand-in-hand along the shore and shopping at a local market for groceries. Greene’s family arrived soon after, and the group spent time paddling in shallow waters and relaxing by the sea. Her posts show her embracing the calm environment, with reflections on aging and staying active.

At 51, Greene posted images of herself near the water, saying she feels like her 24-year-old self again. “Costa Rica has reminded me of something we forget too easily: You don’t age out of joy. You don’t age out of movement. You don’t age out of fun,” she added. She encouraged others to stay connected to their energy, noting that the body and spirit seek activity and play at any age.

Greene also uploaded footage from a hike that ended at an ocean overlook, filled with the calls of local birds and monkeys. The natural setting appeared to inspire her messages about balance and fulfillment.

This marks one of several trips Greene has made to Costa Rica. In past visits, she has enjoyed family time in Guanacaste and other coastal areas. Her current stay comes just before her resignation from Congress takes effect on January 5, amid her recent engagement to Glenn. He proposed last week in Washington, D.C., and shared his excitement online about getting her away from the capital.

Tourism officials note that visitors like Greene often highlight Costa Rica’s focus on wellness and nature. Our country’s beaches and trails draw people seeking rest and reflection, aligning with the Pura Vida mindset that emphasizes simple, positive living. Greene’s posts have drawn mixed reactions, with some followers praising her for sharing personal insights and others commenting on her political choices. She remains active on social media during the trip, using the hashtag #puravida to tag her experiences.

As Costa Rica sees steady growth in wellness tourism, trips like this one show how our country continues to help people recharge.
