Costa Rica is a Top Destination in January: Travel & Leisure

Costa Rica was selected by Travel & Leisure magazine as one of the 11 best destinations in the world to visit in January 2023.

The other ten places listed by Travel & Leisure are:

  • Park City, Utah
  • Fort Worth, Texas
  • The Bahamas
  • Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Charleston, South Carolina
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota
  • Jamaica
  • Mazatlán, Mexico
  • Queensland, Australia
  • Vienna, Austria

“This Central American country where Pura Vida is both a greeting and a lifestyle borders the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. January begins the dry season on the Pacific side, and the weather is warm and sunny,” mentioned the publication.

The magazine highlighted the country’s variety, mentioning it “features mountains, rivers, beaches, rainforests, and resorts that are as diverse as the environment.”

For lodging options, Travel & Leisure recommended The Four Seasons Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo, which offers “guest rooms, suites, and multi-bedroom residences as well as a spa, golf, beaches, and guided eco-adventures.”

In addition, the post suggested Botánika Osa Peninsula, located in the country’s southwest. It’s a “new luxury eco-resort, set in a coastal rainforest near Corcovado National Park.”

The Corcovado National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica. It holds adventure, breathtaking views, untouched nature, and a wide range of animal species.

Finally, Travel & Leisure endorsed Origins Lodge and Nayara Tented Camp. They’re both luxury hotels.

“Origins Lodge within a lush rainforest jungle in the north of Costa Rica features an organic garden, spa, and a variety of accommodations. Nayara Tented Camp, located in Arenal National Park, is part of a collection of three sister properties,” they added.

Certainly, Costa Rica is the perfect destination for those looking to escape the cold. Sunshine and magnificent are sure to welcome those tourists who visit this Central American gem.
