Best press release ever? Uber finds 10 Tico names that include the company’s name

The Tico Times gets a lot of press releases from PR firms. A lot. Some are interesting, some are downright bland, but every now and then we get one that makes us laugh.

Uber recently sent us a list of Costa Rican names that have the word “uber” in them. There are occasional news stories about Ticos with interesting names — such as Bill Clinton, Welcome Kennedy, Hyundai, Pepsi, Wisin Yandel, or MacGyver — but this is the first press release we’ve gotten related to interesting Tico names.

So here they are:

  1. Jauberth
  2. Huber
  3. Dauber
  4. Oduber
  5. Duberney
  6. Yuber
  7. Duber Felipe
  8. Huberto
  9. Hubertien
  10. Haubert
