Condé Nast Traveler ranks 9 Costa Rican resorts in top 15 in all of Central and South America

Each year, Condé Nast Traveler doles out “Reader’s Choice Awards” based on a sample of nearly 29,000 readers. This year, the travel magazine declared winners in Belize, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Argentina in its Central and South America region.

Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens in the Arenal area took the top prize, with Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica on the Papagayo Peninsula placing second and Lapa Rios Ecolodge in Puntarenas in a close third.

The seventh spot was claimed by Guanacaste’s Hotel Punta Islita in Guanacaste, and the tenth by Manuel Antonio’s Arenas Del Mar. Eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth and fifteenth places were secured by Los Sueños Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort in Playa Herradura, Arenal Springs Resort & Spa in the Arenal area, Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort in the Arenal area and the Westin Golf Resort & Spa in Playa Conchal.
