After erotic video surfaces, Costa Rican youth vice minister out of job

Culture and Youth Vice Minister Karina Bolaños was removed from her job after a self-made erotic video surfaced on the Internet.

The video reportedly was dedicated to a lover. Bolaños is married to National Liberation Party lawmaker Víctor Hugo Víquez. According to the daily Diario Extra, Bolaños had filed for divorce from her husband last September after alleging domestic abuse.

Culture Minister Manuel Obregón said in a statement “the separation from her job will allow Bolaños to face this case from the private sphere.” The minister said it was the president’s decision to remove Bolaños from the Culture Ministry.

Culture viceminister fired

Is it fair to fire the vice minister for the video?
