Argentine woman killed on Central Pacific
Judicial Investigation Police (OIJ) officers in Jacó are investigating the shooting death of a 37-year-old Argentine woman, Alejandra Erpen.
According to the OIJ, the incident occurred at 10 p.m. Sunday while the woman and her sister were entering their house near Playa Hermosa, on the central Pacific coast. The woman died after being shot in the neck. Her sister survived the attack, after receiving a gunshot wound to the right hand.
The sisters ran a business in the area and had lived in Costa Rica for about six years.
The body was transferred to the morgue to undergo an autopsy. The murder is under investigation.
