Rates going up for Costa Rica taxis

Taxi fares will go up from â‚¡530 to â‚¡550 for Costa Rica’s licensed red taxis and from â‚¡785 to â‚¡810 for Juan Santamaria airport taxis, according to a press release by the Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) on Tuesday.

Taxi fares adjustments are made every six months to offset the inflation rate and fuel prices. The date of the adjustment has not yet been announced by the government.
