How to help earthquake victims through the Red Cross
The best way to help the victims of the recent tragedy in Japan is to donate cash only to the local Red Cross via their website, www.cruzroja.or.cr, or by direct deposit at accounts set up at local banks (see below). The Japanese Embassy in Costa Rica is not accepting donations of food, clothing or other items, nor are they requesting volunteers.
