Early morning earthquake hits off the coast of Guanacaste

An earthquake off the coast of Nosara, Guanacaste in Costa Rica’s northeast Pacific region was felt at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

According to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), the quake had a magnitude of 4.1. The epicenter was reported as 28 kilometers west of Nosara.
