Airport Taxi Fare Hike Rejected by Regulators

October 24, 2008

The fleet of taxis that serve the JuanSantamaríaInternationalAirport will not be increasing fares any time soon.

The taxi company had requested a 10 percent increase in taxi rates in July. However, a lack of taximeters in the 70- vehicle taxi fleet soured ARESEP on the idea.
