Buyers Mission Continues to Grow
The annual buyers mission sponsored by the public-private Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER) saw at least $7.5 million in deals, easily surpassing the $5 million in last year’s event.
Buyers from dozens of countries browsed more than 1,000 Tico products, according to PROCOMER.
Agricultural products were the most common. Shrimp producer Talmana closed deals with two Mexican companies and mango producer ASOFRUL made a deal with Canadian company Thomas Fruit.
The event took place last month and included 170 international buyers and 220 Costa Rican exporters.
