Junior Surf Team Headed ForWorld Championship
THE Costa Rican Junior Surf Team will depart Oct. 4 for “Surf City, USA,” or Huntington Beach, California, to compete in the 2005 Quiksilver International Surfing Association’s World Junior Surfing Championship. Surfers 18 and under from all over the world will compete for medals Oct. 8-16.The Costa Rican team consists of eight youths selected by Surf Federation head coach Álvaro Solano after an extensive pre-selection process that spanned more than three months.
