Roadway Improvements Finished in Southern Zone

A $15 million project to improve parts of the InterAmerican highway and surrounding roads in the Southern Zone was recently completed. President Abel Pacheco inaugurated the project Sept. 9.The improvements consist in the repair of 32 kilometers of highway from San Isidro de El General south to Convento de Buenos Aires, including 7.6 kilometers widened to five lanes between San Isidro and Palmares, Peréz Zeledón. Sidewalks were also built along this stretch. In addition, 19.5 km of surrounding routes were improved.
