National Web Site Contest Under Way

WITH the goal of improving informationtechnologies in Costa Rica, the Scienceand Technology Ministry has announced itssecond national Web site contest.The best Web site with Costa Ricancontent will represent the country in acontest against other Latin Americancountries and Spain.Any organization, business, state institutionor person with a Web site of“national character” can participate,according to the ministry. Sites must beprincipally in Spanish and cannot containviolent, pornographic or discriminatorymaterial or promote illegal activity.Parties interested in participating inthe contest can register atwww.micit.go.cr/concursoweb.htm.The deadline for submissions is Aug. 1.
