The world’s top youth tennis stars compete this week in Costa Rica’s Copa del Café. The tournament started Monday at the Costa Rica Country Club in Escazú, southwest of the capital, and will end with the championships on Saturday.

In its 50 year history, the Copa del Café has hosted tennis greats like Roger Federer, Bjorn Borg and Victoria Azarenka, among others.

This year’s tournament favorites include Russian Roman Safiulli, ranked 20th in the world, and Czech Marie Bouzkova, ranked 36th. Both advanced in Monday’s matches. Two Ticos, Julián Saborío and Ariana Rahmanparast, also advanced to the tournament’s next round.

Tickets for the event are available from Special Ticket. Prices range from ₡6,000-9,000 ($12-18) based on seating and the day you’d like to attend.
