Stars of salsa and reggaeton latest performers at National Stadium inauguration

Salsa singers Gilberto Santa Rosa and Victor Manuelle and reggaeton star Don Omar will perform at the inauguration of Costa Rica’s new National Stadium at 6 p.m. on April 3.

The show was announced at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

Ticket prices to this event range from ¢5,750 ($11.50) to ¢40,000 ($80.50). Tickets will go on sale Saturday on the website www.laboletería.co.cr

According to the daily La Nación, Santa Rosa last performed in Costa Rica on March 28, 2010 in La Sabana. Victor Manuelle was last in the country entertaining the crowds at the Fiestas de Palmares in January of 2010. Don Omar visited two years ago to sing at Cuty Monge Stadium in Desamparados.

Colombian pop star Shakira will perform at the National Stadium the following Sunday on April 10.
