Christmas Play Delights

IT’S down and out onChristmas Eve when a group ofhomeless people are paid a visit bya stranger, who is only looking for aplace to stay and maybe somethingto eat. In exchange for hospitality,he offers stories to lighten an otherwisedismal holiday eve.As the stranger tells the stories, the homeless act them out and O.Henry’s stories come to life. All aremoved by the stories and all arechanged by them as well. The set, designed by director LisaDeFuso and decorated by renowned artistJim Theologos, reflects the squalor thepeople live in while at the same timeadapting well to the telling of the stories.‘An O.Henry Christmas,’ is a delight. Itruns through Dec. 12. Call 355-1623.
