Habitat for Humanity’s Annual Building Blitz to Benefit Families in Sarapiquí

BUILDING Their Own Future: Victims of recent flooding in the Sarapiquí region, innorth-central Costa Rica, Luz Delia, 30, her husband José Enríquez (not shown),40, and their two children, Jordany, 7, and Melanie, 4, are among the five familieswho will be building new homes during Easter Holy Week with the help of Habitatfor Humanity Costa Rica, a nonprofit organization that aims to eliminate povertyhousing and homelessness and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience andaction. The annual “building blitz,” entitled Viviendo tu Fe (Living Your Faith), isheld in a different part of the country each year. This year’s event in La Guaria, nearPuerto Viejo de Sarapiquí, will begin with an inauguration on March 20 and will culminate in a closing ceremony on March 26.
