Zaguate Festival Honors Mixed Breeds

The National Animal Protection Association (ANPA) will hold its annual canine festival this Sunday, March 6, at Roosevelt Plaza behind the Outlet Mall in San Pedro, beginning at 9 a.m.

Promoting care and adoption of zaguates (mixed-breed dogs), the event will include dog contests such as talent search and best dog–owner look-alike, demonstrations, a mini flea market, food, and fun. Approximately 30 healthy, spayed dogs will be available for adoption.

ANPA is looking for personal household items and books for the sale table. Dogs accompanied by owners are welcome.

ANPA cares for abandoned dogs, holds spaying clinics around the country, and offers dogs for adoption. For more information, go to the festival or call 228-2397 or 255-3757.
