Book Donation to Benefit Osa Peninsula Schools

THE Costa Rican-North AmericanCultural Center donated more than 400books to the Neotropical Foundation, aprivate non-profit organization dedicatedto sustainable development andconservation of the country’s naturalresources.The books are all in English andcome from the cultural center’s ownlibrary and the U.S. State Department.The foundation will distribute thetexts to bilingual schools in the OsaPeninsula, in the Southern Zone.Carlos León, the foundation’sexecutive director, said the donation isa generous gift from which students inthe Osa Peninsula will benefit, and ithas also presented “a great opportunityfor us to enhance our relationship withthe Costa Rican-North AmericanCultural Center.”
