Angry Men Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet

Forget about the award-winning play “Twelve Angry Men” presented in 2008 by the Little Theatre Group and get ready for “Twelve Angry Women,” by the same author.

The riveting drama speaks about 12 women from all walks of life and all backgrounds who are sequestered in a jury room deciding a murder case: a life or death issue for a teenage Latino boy. This promises to be a fierce drama, with each woman trying her best to do the right thing, despite clashing personal views and opinions.

The cast includes old-timers and newcomers: María Jesús Castillo, Linda Cramer, Lisa deFuso, Paula Friedman, Penny Houghton, Caroline Kennedy, Susan Liang, Suzy Nagel, Sally O’Boyle, Pilar Saavedra, Kathryn Smith and Dale Watson.

Presented as a dramatic reading and directed by Noel Montagano, the play will be performed one night only, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at San José’s Laurence Olivier Theater.

The suggested donation is ¢3,000 ($5.40) for adults and ¢1,000 ($1.80) for students in groups of 20 or more. For information and reservations, call 8858-1446 or visit www.littletheatregroup.org.
