Seba’s, a small pizzeria in the South Pacific coastal town of Uvita, has catapulted into the top 15 of the 50 Top Pizza Latin America 2026 ranking, climbing from last year’s #46 spot to #15 in a single year. The list, revealed at a ceremony at the Italian Cultural Institute in Rio de Janeiro, is considered the most influential guide in the regional pizza scene.
Founded by Sebastián Diego Gallucci, Seba’s also walked away with the Green Oven 2026 award, given to the Latin American pizzeria with the strongest focus on environmental sustainability — the only such prize handed out across the entire region this year. The guide additionally named Seba’s as Top Pizzeria in Costa Rica 2026. Its top-15 placement earns the restaurant a “Golden Ticket” qualifying it for the 50 Top Pizza World 2026 final in Naples this September.
The ranking was topped by Leggera Pizza Napoletana in São Paulo, Brazil, followed by AllerÃa in Providencia, Chile, and a tie between Pizzardi Artigianale in Bogotá and QT Pizza Bar in São Paulo. Seba’s was the only Costa Rican entry in the top tier and one of very few in the region based outside major capital cities, making its inclusion a notable geographic outlier.
For those headed to the South Pacific — Uvita, Dominical, Ojochal and Marino Ballena National Park are all within easy reach — Seba’s is now a legitimate detour worth planning around. The restaurant pairs Italian–Argentine technique with ingredients pulled from the surrounding rainforest, and reservations are expected to tighten quickly as the news travels.
