Colliers Opens Regional Headquarters In Costa Rica

THE company Colliers International, a global real estate consulting firm with 250 offices in 51 countries, opened its regional office for Central America in San José Dec. 8, and estimates that in the next three years it will be able to bring nearly $300 million in investment to Costa Rica, especially in hotel and tourism investments.

Colliers International offers commercial real estate services including corporate consulting, valuations, asset management, hotel sales and development, brokerage and research activities. The company employs more than 9,000 people worldwide, administers more than 60 million square meters of real estate and earns more than $1.2 billion a year, according to a company statement released last week.

Colliers International Hotels, which is the company’s hotel and tourism division, has extensive experience in the North American market. It has participated in more than 65% of hotel transactions in Canada, and “has never had less than 50% of the market activity” in U.S. hotels, the statement said.
