Finance minister publishes list of tax delinquents

The Finance Ministry on Tuesday published on its website a new list of tax delinquents.

The list cutoff date is Dec. 31, 2012, and includes individuals and businesses owning both income and sales taxes.

According to Tax Administration figures, the total amount owed by new delinquent taxpayers reached ₡436 million ($872,000). That amount increases to ₡1.1 billion ($2.2 million) when past tax delinquents are included.

The same report states that ₡13.4 billion ($26 million) already is in the legal collection process.
