Protecting and celebrating Costa Rica’s birds

This weekend, the Osa Conservation Area, Osa Birds and the NeotrĂ³pica Foundation are hosting the annual International Bird Festival in Puerto JimĂ©nez, Golfito.

The festival will focus on reducing Costa Rica’s reliance on single-use plastics in order to protect birds and other wildlife.

The festival features several free family-friendly activities. There is a drawing station for children, a photography workshop hosted by Osa Photography, a migratory bird photography contest and the fan-favorite bird “marathon.”
