Pennywise, Evanescence to play Costa Rica

From the print edition

The same week prog-metal stalwarts Dream Theater played Costa Rica for the first time, with a bombastic and crowd-thrilling performance, the show’s producers, Flevent, announced gothic rock band Evanescence also has scheduled its first San José show for this year.

Amy Lee and Evanescence will perform at Saprissa Stadium in Tibás, north of San José, on Oct. 30.

Famous ’90s punk rockers Pennywise also announced a tour date for Costa Rica, at Club Pepper in Zapote, in southeastern San José, on Dec. 16.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for concerts in Costa Rica, highlighted by the confirmation of a Lady Gaga show on Nov. 3 at the National Stadium, in San José.
