Students Use Donated Computers to Learn

Over the last 10 years, the Intel Corporation has donated over 900 computers to 12 schools in Costa Rica, including the Fidel Chaves Elementary School in Ribera de Belén in Heredia, also the site of the Intel plant. The computers, known as Classmate PCs, provide students with access to Internet learning tools and software programs. On Tuesday, students prepared  presentations on global warming, climate, and the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon using Microsoft’s popular PowerPoint program.
