Costa Rica Burger Weeks 2026 Kicks Off With 27 Restaurants

Burger Weeks Costa Rica 2026 opened yesterday and runs through May 3, bringing 27 limited-time burger specials to participating restaurants in and around San José. The annual food event centers on one-off creations made specifically for the festival, giving diners a chance to try burgers that are not part of the restaurants’ regular menus.

This year’s promotion includes a burger, side, and either a Modelo beer or an Italian Lurisia soda. Prices range from ₡8,500 to ₡10,500 for customers paying with Visa cards, with the 10% service charge added separately. The specials are available at participating locations and through Uber Eats during the event window.

The 2026 lineup mixes burger-focused spots, street food kitchens, hotel restaurants, and larger chains. Among the participating names are Burga, Deep Dip Burger, El Bendito Street Food, Hooters, Smashburger, Sheraton San José, Quattro Wyndham Belén, The Market at Hotel Intercontinental, Tres Cuartos, UFO Burgers, and Zonna Gastro Bar. The listed locations show the event concentrated in the Greater Metropolitan Area, including Alajuela, Cartago, Curridabat, Escalante, Escazú, Heredia, Moravia, Rohrmoser, San Pedro, Santa Ana, and Zapote.

Burger Weeks is part of the broader Costa Rica Weeks platform, which was established in San José in 2023 after the format’s success in Panama. The company says its food events in Costa Rica have involved more than 150 restaurants and generated more than 20,000 special-item sales, helping turn themed dining promotions into a regular feature of the local restaurant calendar.

For Burger attics, the draw is the short window and the variety. For restaurants, it is a chance to test new combinations and bring in customers looking for something they cannot order any other time of year. That formula has helped Burger Weeks become one of the better-known food promotions on Costa Rica’s urban dining scene.
