Frida Kahlo Immersive Exhibition Comes to Costa Rica in 2023

Great news for those who love art and innovation: the Immersive Frida Kahlo exhibition will open its doors in early 2023 in Costa Rica.

The immersive and virtual reality exhibition draws the public into a sensory experience full of color, creativity, and movement portraying the legacy and life of the great Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

“Frida Kahlo is one of the most popular artists in the world. Her life and paintings tell an extraordinary story about resilience and creativity,” points out the event’s official website.

The exposition will combine Frida’s art with music, scenography, sculptures, interaction, and digital animation.

This is possible thanks to the collaboration of more than 90 people in charge of design and production, who are responsible for creating this sensory journey that will give movement and life to one of the most iconic and celebrated figures of our time.

“We are fans of Frida. We believe that Frida is an example of creativity, resilience, and inspiration for people around the world,” stated the creators of this distinctive experience.

This is the official presentation authorized by her family through the Kahlo Family Foundation, presided over by her universal heir Mara Romeo Kahlo.

“We’ve decided to pay homage to such a great artist by doing what we do best: an immersive multimedia experience that can transport her art and messages to the whole world,” added those in charge of the production.

Production will cover 1,200 square meters and take place at the Oxígeno Mall in Heredia.

“We are very grateful to Costa Rica for opening its doors. We want to create a fusion between the national culture and the art of Frida Kahlo, inspire and reach new generations and media. We are sure that this project will touch the lives of the public, making them feel something they have never experienced, showing them a part of Frida’s essence, unique and special, just like the artist,” commented Romeo Kahlo.

Prices are yet to be announced; however,  it was confirmed tickets would be on sale soon at eticket.cr.
