This year’s tournament favorites include Russian Roman Safiulli, ranked 20th in the world, and Czech Marie Bouzkova, ranked 36th. Both advanced in Monday’s matches. Two Ticos, Julián Saborío and Ariana Rahmanparast, also advanced to the tournament’s next round.

Tickets for the event are available from Special Ticket. Prices range from ₡6,000-9,000 ($12-18) based on seating and the day you’d like to attend.
