Earthquake in Southern Zone reported early Saturday morning
A 4.9-magnitude earthquake hit the Southern Zone on Saturday morning, according to the Volcanology and Seismology Observatory (Ovsicori).
The epicenter of the earthquake was reported 2 kilometers southeast of Golfito.The Seismic Engineering Laboratory at the University of Costa Rica reported the same earthquake as hitting at 2:39 a.m. with a magnitude of 4.4
No damage has been reported.
On May 13, a 6.0-magnitude earthquake rattled the Central Valley, causing minimal damage.
