Big Four to Thrash Costa Rica’s Eugene O’Neill Theater

 

The Costa Rican-North American Cultural Center’s Eugene O’Neill Theater will present the Big Four of thrash metal – Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax – in a recorded concert from the Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria, on June 22, starting at 6 p.m.

The four-hour-plus broadcast will start with a half-hour pre-show, followed by a 75-minute main course of Metallica and 45-minute performances by each of the other three bands. The concert will be viewed that same day in theaters around the world.
Tickets cost
¢20,000 (about $38) and are available at the cultural center’s four main locations: eastern San José’s Barrio Dent, home of the Eugene O’Neill Theater; west-side La Sabana; Cartago, east of the capital; and Alajuela, northwest of San José. For information, call 2207-7554.
